We already reported that the leading Indian two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp Limited (HMCL), is working on adding the most affordable motorcycle in its product portfolio. We also mentioned that the bike will be priced lower than the HF-Dawn, which comes with a price tag of Rs. 37,900 (current ex-showroom price, New Delhi). Now, the camouflaged model of the bike has been spotted testing in India with a heavy load tied on the pillion seat.
The company tried its best to hide the identity of the bike, however, many uncovered parts of the bike clearly speaks that this is a Hero motorcycle. The engine built looks similar to the other Hero commuters and it is expected to be a new 100cc mill developed by the company. The bike also share spoke wheels, front telescopic forks, rear view mirrors, clear blinkers, handlebar and switch gear with the HF-Dawn.
Apart from these identical design elements, you can see a more clear sign in the picture, confirms that that it’s a HMCL product. If you take a look at the picture of its stripped down instrument cluster, there is clear brand logo of the company on the right side of the speedometer.
Hero has tried its best to cut-down the cost of the bike, and it’s expected to be offered with a price tag of around Rs. 35,000. The new fuel tank, minimised body panels, simple head and tail lamp, single pod instrument cluster, open type chain cover , straight seat and standard spring loaded hydraulic rear dampers, might helped the company to make it, the most affordable Hero bike.
