The bike is very tastefully modified into a Scrambler and features a bunch of custom parts
[UPDATE: Yamaha has confirmed that the RX100 will be coming back to India. Check out the new details in our report]
Yamaha RX100 is easily one of the most loved motorcycles on Indian roads. Despite being out of production for around two decades, the bike is still hugely popular among enthusiasts and custom bike builders, who tastefully modify RX100s. Yogi Chhabria (YC) Design, a Mumbai-based custom maker has given the iconic RX100 a scrambler makeover and to say the least, it looks fascinating.
The custom bike retains the original Yamaha RX100 fuel tank, and the Nardo Grey paint job is tastefully executed. The tail section of the bike is shortened to give it a proper scrambler look and is fitted with a single piece scrambler seat. The front of the bike features a custom handlebar, an analog speedometer and circular LED headlight. What makes this custom Yamaha RX100 scrambler stand out is the fact that modifications are done in such a manner that it hasn’t spoiled the design DNA of the iconic bike.
The bike is powered by the original RX100’s 98cc engine, producing 11PS and 10.39Nm. The engine is mated to a four-speed gearbox. It sports a custom exhaust setup by YC Design.

The Yamaha RX100 scrambler is suspended on a telescopic fork and dual shock absorbers at the rear. Braking duties are handled by the TVS Apache RTR-sourced disc brake up front and a drum brake at the rear. It retains the same rims as the original RX100; however, the tyres being used are Ralco 3.00-18 up front and 100/17 at the rear. This increases the seat height and ground clearance of the bike by about 1.5 to 2 inches, giving it a more scrambler appeal and making it off-road friendly.
If you own an RX100, and are planning on converting it into a scrambler, YC Design offers the makeover package at Rs 90,000. YC Design also offers a fully made RX100 Scrambler including a donor bike at Rs 1,50,000.
