The Dayun STS400C has been launched in China at Yuan 25,999 (approx Rs 3.02 lakh)
Dayun Motorcycles, a Chinese automobile manufacturer, has launched the STS 400C in its home market. The naked bike looks like a more muscular version of the iconic Benelli TNT300. Dayun has priced the bike at Yuan 25,999 (approx Rs 3.02 lakh).
The motorcycle looks burly, thanks to its muscular body panels. The STS400C is offered in a silver paint scheme complemented by a red-painted trellis frame. The bike comes equipped with a single-piece seat, a chunky 16-litre fuel tank, an underbelly pan, a tyre hugger, and a silver finish on the exhaust, brake and clutch levers.
Feature-wise, the bike gets an LED headlight and a 5-inch TFT instrument cluster with an ambient light sensor and a gear shift indicator.
Powering the Dayun STS400C is a 400cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine that puts out 42.14PS and 35Nm. This is mated to a six-speed transmission and is capable of generating a top speed of 160kmph. These figures are pretty decent for a bike of its class. For perspective, the KTM 390 Duke makes 43.5PS and 35Nm.
The underpinnings include a USD fork up front, a monoshock at the rear, 300mm dual-disc brakes with radial callipers at the front, and a 240mm single disc at the rear assisted by dual-channel ABS.
Unfortunately, the Dayun STS400C won't be making its way to India. However, you still have other options to fall back on, like the BMW G310R, KTM 390 Duke, and the Bajaj Dominar 400.
