This Minibike By Phoenix Engineering Has A Really Unique Design

Phoenix Engineering, a Thailand-based auto manufacturer, has launched the most unconventional and unique looking mini bike, the Gunner 125, for the Japanese market. That’s right, Honda’s minimotos are not the only mini bikes in the market giving us a sense of nostalgia.
With zero body panels and a design that is a 100 percent frame of the bike, the Gunner 125 looks intriguing, fancy and minimalistic. It gets a single circular tube for a chassis, which ends at the front with an integrated headlight. Under the single thick tube, sits the engine encased by slimmer frame extensions. The bike comes in six vibrant colours that give it a more funky appeal. The single piece seat is placed interestingly in a curved manner on the tube which, however, looks pretty uncomfortable. Interestingly, the exhaust setup under the tube at the rear looks quite sporty. It is safe to say that it looks nothing like something you have seen on the roads and is bound to make heads turn while cruising on the streets
Powering this mini bike is a 125cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine mated to a four-speed gearbox. Moreover, the bike comes in 50 and 100cc engine variants. It gets a 5.5-litre fuel tank, which is embedded in the body of the bike itself. The bike also features a circular digital instrument cluster.

The Phoenix Gunner is suspended on a telescopic fork up front and a monoshock at the rear. The braking duties are handled by discs on both ends, pretty impressive equipment for a small 50cc to 125cc motorcycle.
The Phoenix Gunner is priced at 360,800 yen (around Rs 2.14 lakh) in Japan, which is quite pricey for a 125cc mini motorcycle. That being said, the Gunner 125 will not be heading to our shores anytime soon, considering the Indian market is not very receptive to mini motorcycles; and a testament to that sentiment is Honda Navi.
