This Tiny ADV From China One-ups The Honda ADV150 With Even Better Kit

This variant of the Lifan KPV150 gets spoke wheels with tubeless tyres, revised suspension and other accessory upgrades to make it more adventure-ready

Lifan Motorcycles has updated its ADV scooter, the KPV150 ADV, with an off-road-friendly variant in China. This new variant of the scooter has received both mechanical and accessory upgrades. For the uninitiated, Lifan Motorcycles is a Chinese company that was founded in 1992, and has its manufacturing facilities in Vietnam, Thailand and Turkey. 

Starting with the updates to the scooter, the Lifan KPV150 has received new golden aluminium alloy spoke wheels compatible with tubeless tyres–something that’s normally found on much more expensive motorcycles. Apart from this, it also gets a new tail rack and a revised suspension setup that employs a 37mm USD fork up front and a monoshock at the rear. Other than these changes, the rest of the scooter has remained the same. It gets a butch and sporty stance thanks to its tall windscreen and edgy body panels. 

On the features front, it comes equipped with an LED headlight with DRL, an LCD instrument cluster, a USB and a 12V charging port, adjustable handlebars, a side stand engine cutoff and an idle stop-start system.

Powering the Lifan KPV150 is a 149.3cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that churns out 12.23PS and 11.8Nm. The scooter also gets an 11-litre fuel tank, 14-inch wheels wrapped in block-pattern tyres, and a generous ground clearance of 180mm. 

The scooter is priced at Yuan 15,280 (approx Rs 1.78 lakh) and is available in four colour options: Grey, White, Yellow and Blue. It is unlikely to come to India but if you want a sporty scooter, the Yamaha Aerox 155 is a great choice.
