TI Cycles brings Carbon Bicycle in India

Chennai based, TI Cycles, Bicycle maker and an arm of Murugappa Group, has recently launched India's first Carbon bicycle- TI Montra. The High-end Bicycle manufacturer has targeted to the Indian youth and will bring more models in the country in the price range of between Rs. 21,000 to Rs 1.5 lakh.
The domestic firm is producing its bikes at Ambattur manufacturing plant and targeted to sell about 12,000 units in the current year. The TI bikes will have same price range as Hero Honda CD Deluxe to Hero Honda Karizma.
Recently, TI cycles has ventured in to the continental premium bikes segment and ready to launch high-end bikes in the market. The price of these high-end bikes would be started from 2 lakhs which is more than Honda CBR 250R, a popular entry-level sports bike in the market.
TI cycles is doing well in the domestic market and popular with its BSA and Hercules cycles. The company sold 3.6 million units of bikes in this year and hopes to sell around 4.15 million units by the end of this year. Meanwhile the company aims to sale 1,000 and 1,200 bikes in Indian market in the current fiscal.
The Indian Hybrid and Electric bike market is growing day by day. There are many key players who are having their bikes in India such as Hero Electric, Avon, Global motors, XS bikes, Indus bikes etc.
