Commuters rake up a storm in the festive season
The sales data of two-wheelers for October 2020 is out and Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto and Honda have taken the top honors. Interestingly, the sales numbers have seen a massive spike compared to last year’s.
5) Hero Glamour
Hero upgraded its popular premium commuter earlier this year to meet the new emission norms and going by the sales numbers, customers seem to be loving the upgrade. The brand has sold 78,439 units of the Glamour, almost 38,000 units more than last year.
4) Honda CB Shine
The Honda CB Shine has been a crowd favourite for a while now and has registered sales of 1,18,547 units against 87,743 units in October 2019. This is a huge spike, which can be credited to customers holding off purchases due to the COVD-19 pandemic.
3) Bajaj Pulsar
The Pulsar moniker introduced Indians to performance motorcycles two decades ago, and it is still going strong. The Pulsar range now consists of the Pulsar 125, Pulsar 150, Pulsar 180F, Pulsar NS 200, Pulsar RS 200 and Pulsar 220F -- of which a massive chunk of sales has been brought by Pulsar 125. The smallest Pulsar has sold as many as 65,648 units, 14,000 more than September 2020.
2) Hero HF Deluxe
For those looking for an economic commuter without losing on the style quotient, the HF Deluxe has been a trusted choice. The bike has registered a sale of 2,33,061 units, 47,310 more than last October.
1)Hero Splendor
The undisputed title holder has once again topped the chart with a massive growth in sales. The Hero Splendor has found 3,15,798 new customers against the sales of 2,64,137 units in October 2019.
Earlier this month we reported that Hero MotoCorp has registered a growth of 35 percent. Of the 8 lakh units sold, almost 6 lakh were motorcycles, and now looking at the number, we know which bike contributed the most.
