The Society Of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) two-wheeler sales data for the month of July 2024 is out now. We have compiled a list of the top 5 best-selling scooters (both 110cc and 125cc) in the Indian market last month along with their year-on-year (YoY) and month-on-month (MoM) growth data:
5. Suzuki Burgman
The 125cc maxi-style scooter from Suzuki, the Burgman range that includes the Street and EX variants, continues to be the 5th best-selling scooter in India with a total of 19,806 scooters sold. Burgman Street recorded a 13.17 percent YoY growth and 31 percent MoM growth.
The Suzuki Burgman Street is powered by a 124cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces a maximum output of 8.7PS and 10Nm, paired to a CVT (continuously variable transmission). It has a 5.5-litre fuel tank and delivers a real-world tested mileage of 61.9kmpl in the city and 54.95kmpl on the highway.

4. TVS Ntorq 125
The TVS Ntorq 125 is one of the most powerful and fastest 125cc scooters in India. It comes with a sporty design, has stylish looks, and has various colour and graphic schemes to choose from. The Ntorq 125 continues to be the 4th best-selling petrol-powered scooter in India with a total sales of 26,829 scooters in July 2024. It got a 3.83 percent YoY growth and a 3.53 percent MoM decline in sales.
The Ntorq 125 is equipped with a 124.8cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that delivers 9.38PS and 10.6Nm, mated to a CVT. It has a 5.8-litre fuel tank and offers a real-world tested mileage of 54.33kmpl in the city and 55.85kmpl on the highway.

3. Suzuki Access 125
The Suzuki Access 125 is a 125cc family scooter from the Japanese manufacturer. It sports a classic scooter design and features a rectangular headlight, but also has modern features including smartphone connectivity. The scooter offers a perfect combination of good performance with one of the best mileage figures in the 125cc scooter segment.
The Access 125 retains its position as the 3rd best-selling petrol-powered scooter in India with a total of 71,247 units sold across the country. It recorded a 37.86 percent YoY growth and 36.50 percent MoM growth.
The Access 125 gets the 124cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 8.7PS at 6750rpm and 10Nm at 5500rpm (same as the Burgman). It has a 5-litre fuel tank and delivers a real-world mileage of 52.45kmpl in the city and 57.22kmpl on the highway.

2. TVS Jupiter 110 & 125
The TVS Jupiter range offers 110cc and 125cc family scooters for the Indian market. It is the 2nd best-selling scooter in India with a total sales of 74,663 units. In the month of July, it recorded a 12.37 percent YoY growth and 3.55 percent MoM growth.
The TVS Jupiter 110 is powered by a 109.7cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 7.9PS and 8.8Nm. The TVS Jupiter 125, on the other hand, gets a 124.8cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine and produces 8.2PS and 10.5Nm. Both scooters get a 5.1-litre fuel tank, the Jupiter 110 delivers a real-world mileage of 64kmpl in the city and 52kmpl on the highway, whereas the Jupiter 125 delivered 57.27kmpl in the city and 52.91kmpl on the highway.

The Honda Activa range continues to be on the top of the list with 195,603 scooters sold. It has a 44.54 percent YoY growth and 16.18 percent MoM decline in July 2024. The Activa range consists of 110cc and 125cc family scooters.
The Honda Activa 6G gets a 109.7cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine and makes 7.8PS and 8.8Nm. It has a 5.3-litre fuel tank and offers a real-world tested mileage of 59.5kmpl in the city and 55.9kmpl on the highway.
The bigger sibling, Honda Activa 125 is powered by a 124cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes 8.3PS at 6250rpm and 10.4Nm at 5,000rpm. It has a 5.3-litre fuel tank and delivered a mileage of 52.63kmpl in the city and 51.23kmpl on the highway, in our real-world mileage test.
