India’s two-wheeler market has seen strong sales across different engine categories in September 2024. Let’s have a look at how the top manufacturers are performing in each segment, from commuter bikes under 125cc to premium motorcycles above 350cc.

Greater than 75cc, less than 110cc
It is none other than Hero Motocorp which leads the sales in this segment. The popular models of Hero in this segment are the Splendour, Glamour, and the Xtreme 125. Hero has registered a sales figure of 4,88,552 units sold which is way ahead of the second place, which goes to Bajaj Auto. They have sold 56,718 units in the month of September. Coming in at third is TVS Motors which has sold 47,442 units.

Greater than 110cc, less than 125cc
The leader of this segment is Honda which has sold 1,53,339 units in the month of September 2024. Popular models of Honda in this segment are CB Shine 125 and the Honda SP 125. By registering a sale of 98,415, Bajaj Auto comes in at the second place followed closely by Hero Motocorp with a sale of 83,669 units.

Greater than 125cc, less than 150cc
The premium commuter class is led by Bajaj Auto. Their models such as the Pulsar NS125 and the Pulsar 125 lead the sale figure by registering a sale of 31,881 units sold in the month of September 2024. A close second followed by just a few units less is Honda. They have sold 31,353 units in this segment. The third place is taken up by Yamaha with 13,616 units sold.

Greater than 150cc, less than 200cc
The leader in this segment is TVS Motors. Their popular Apache series has sold 41,640 units in the month of September 2024. The second place goes to Bajaj Auto which has sold 24,571 units and at the third place is Yamaha registering a sale of 22,900 units.

Greater than 200cc, less than 250cc
The leader in this segment is Bajaj Auto which has registered a sales figure of 8,672 with the popular models being the Avenger and the Dominar. At second place is TVS Motors registering 2,601 units sold and third is Suzuki with 690 units.

Greater than 250cc, less than 350
This segment is led by Royal Enfield which has registered a sales figure of 72,037 units sold in the month of September 2024. Their popular models include the Hunter 350, the Classic 350, and the Bullet 350. Coming in second is Honda which has registered a sale of 3,369 and at third is TVS with 758 units.

Great than 350cc, less than 500cc
The segment leader is Bajaj Auto which has registered a sale of 7,059 units. The most popular are the Triumph 400 series, KTM 390 series, and the Dominar 400. The second spot is grabbed by Royal Enfield with 3,471 units and at third is Hero with 1,611 units.

Greater than 500cc, less than 800cc
The market leader is Royal Enfield, their 650cc series has registered a sales figure of 3,818 units in the month of September 2024. The second spot is taken up by Triumph with 71 units sold and the third by Kawasaki with 54 units sold in the month of September 2024.

Greater than 800cc, less than 1000cc
Kawasaki leads this segment with the help of their models such as the Z900 and the Ninja 1000 having registered a sales figure of 121 units. Second is Triumph with 20 units and third is Suzuki with 6 units.

Greater than 1000cc, less than 1600cc
The market leader in this segment is Suzuki which has sold 38 units of their popular model Hayabusa in the month of September 2024. The second place is taken up by Triumph with 22 units and the third spot by Harley Davidson with 15 units.

Harley-Davidson leads this segment with a registered sales figure of 16 units with the popular models being the Fat Bob and the Fat Boy. The second place is taken up by Triumph with 10 units and third is Honda with 1 unit.

TVS is the only manufacturer which sells a moped in India which is the TVS XL100 and has sold 54,969 units in the month of September 2024.
