Triumph India to Launch Tiger 800 XCA Tomorrow

Triumph India is all set to launch a new model of its 800cc adventure bike series, the Tiger 800 XCA. The bike will be a top of the line model in the existing series which consists of Tiger 800 XR, 800 XRx and 800 XCx. The tourer is expected to have the same mechanical specifications as its off-roader cousin Tiger 800 XCx. However, it will have some additional features like heated seats for both rider and pillion and will feature LED fog lamps at the front. The bike will also house a 650W alternator with three auxiliary sockets which will power all the new gizmos like the heated seats, optional GPS system along with other electronic accessories.

The adventure tourer also has aluminium panniers which help it accommodate some amount of luggage. The Tiger 800 XCA will get its power from the same 2nd gen liquid-cooled 800cc straight three engine that puts out a maximum power of 93.7 bhp along with a commanding torque of 79Nm. The motor comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. It also carries an Anti-lock braking system that can be switched off for more adventurous experience, traction control with four traction modes, cruise control and ride-by-wire throttle with programmable rider modes that adjusts itself according to the rider’s way of riding.

The Triumph Tiger 800 XCx is available for sale in India presently and costs Rs. 12.7 lac (ex-showroom New Delhi). Due to the addition of some new features over the current XCx, Tiger 800 XCA is expected to be priced at around Rs. 14 lac to 15 lac (ex-showroom).
