Likely to be an electric version of the Ntorq and could be called the Entorq
TVS is launching its highly-anticipated Creon-based sporty electric scooter tomorrow and their latest teaser revealed more details about the scooter’s range and riding modes.
What we can probably gather from here is that the top speed of the e-scooter will be 105kmph and Xonic might be the name of the sportiest riding mode. We also anticipate that the claimed range in that riding mode might be around the 105km mark. This is because the teaser shows the e-scooter having a range of 63km left with the battery percentage at the 60% mark.
We first had our real indication of the e-scooter being in production when it was spied for the first time a year ago.
TVS has started sharing a number of teasers since last month with the first teaser confirming the August 23 launch date and location. The vertically-stacked squares in the teaser was a confirmation that the upcoming e-scooter will indeed be based on the Creon concept e-scooter. It could also be called the “Entorq” based on a trademark filed by the manufacturer in 2017.
The second teaser gave us a glimpse of the sculpted apron panels and the indicators. The third teaser gave us a further detailed look at the headlight and apron design. In another instance, TVS teased the instrument console of the e-scooter and its smartwatch connectivity features.
The Creon concept e-scooter was showcased at Auto Expo 2018 and was powered by a 16PS motor with acceleration figures of 0-60kmph in 5.1 seconds. And we hope the upcoming e-scooter gets similar power figures.
The Creon based e-scooter will be TVS's answer to the other sporty electric scooters like the Ather 450X, Simple One and Ola S1 Pro Gen 2.
