Earlier, we had told you that the upcoming TVS Apache 200 will be powered by a new air-cooled engine and it will share the design cues from the concept Draken. The new 200cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor of the Apache 200 will get 4-valves and an oil-cooler for better performance. It is expected to be fed by electronic Fuel Injection (FI) system that will further enhance the output. The new reports suggest that the mill is going to deliver a maximum power of around 28bhp along with a maximum torque output between 22-25Nm. The power output of the bike is much higher than that of its direct rivals- KTM 200 Duke (24.7bhp) and Bajaj Pulsar 200 NS (23.2bhp).

Highlighted features of the bike will be a masculine plastic cladding on the fuel tank, low-set headlamp, fully digital console, wide tyres and twin-port exhaust. It will also get a split pattern seat while the clip-ons might come as an option instead of the single-piece handlebar. The new alloys of the bike will be split-spoke type and are expected to get 100/80 and 130/70 section tyre at the front and the rear respectively.
