TVS Motors showcased a new Special Edition colour scheme for the Apache RR 310 at “Feria de las 2 Ruedas” in Colombia. Compared to the standard matte black paint job, the Special Edition features contrasting red and white decals that runs from the front of the bike to the rear quarter panels. The bike also gets a massive “RR” sticker that intersects the front fairing and the fuel tank and adds a dash of vigour to its sportbike character. However, the updates are purely cosmetic, and underneath, the Apache RR 310 remains unchanged.
Powering TVS’ top-of-the-line sportbike is a 312.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine. It’s capable of delivering a maximum of 34PS at 9700rpm and a peak torque of 27.3Nm at 7700rpm. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed transmission.
The Apache RR 310 retails at COP$ 17,690,000 (approx Rs 3.7 lakh) in Colombia. The new colour scheme makes it stand out from the crowd and could be a really good addition to the Apache’s colour options in India as well. At present, TVS only offers two shades of the RR 310 in India - red and matte black. To reduce vibrations and improve refinement levels, the brand recently updated the Apache RR 310 with an an ECU remap, rubber piping around the edges of the windscreen, new bar-end weights and a chain roller.
TVS is also reportedly working on a streetbike based on the RR 310, which is likely to make its debut by the end of this year.
