Addition of Bluetooth connectivity has bumped the price up by Rs 2,500
- The instrument cluster shows turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS notifications.
- It also gets a lean angle sensor, tour mode, crash alert and more!
- This system uses the phone’s gyroscopic sensor to measure the data.
Last month, we had reported that TVS was planning to add a Bluetooth-enabled SmartXonnect system to the Apache RTR 200 4V. Well, the Hosur-based bike maker has officially launched that feature on the carb variant of the Apache RTR 200 4V. At Rs 1.14 lakh, the new variant is Rs 2,500 more expensive than the standard variant.
With the addition of Bluetooth connectivity, the Apache RTR 200 4V has become more feature-rich than its competitors. Heck, apart from the KTM 390 Duke, there aren’t many Indian motorcycles which come with this feature.
The RTR 200 4V’s SmartXonnect system it is similar to what we have seen on the NTorq 125. Some of the features such as turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS notifications are the same as the NTorq 125. However, this iteration gets additional features like a lean angle mode, tour mode, race telemetry and crash alert, all of which can be monitored on TVS’ official app available on Google Play. Data such as lean angle and telemetry are calculated via the phone’s gyroscopic sensor as there is no IMU on the bike.
