TVS Joins Hands With MASESA To Enter Central American Market

With the partnership, TVS will export 13 products to 5 Central American countries
TVS Motor Company announced its alliance with MASESA (Mayor Servicios Socieda Anonima) to foray into the Central American market. MASESA is the leader in the commercialisation of motorcycles and Tuk Tuks in the Central American region. The alliance is in line with the TVS’ plan to expand and strengthen its presence in global markets like Central and Latin America, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. The alliance will grant TVS the trading rights to set up business in conjunction with MASESA in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica. MASESA currently operates through a network of 500 touch-points throughout the region and manages a wide catalogue of parts and fully-equipped service centres. This provides adequate support for the Indian brand and the alliance is seen as one of the most important ones for the industry in recent years in the region.
Commenting on the partnership, R. From India, TVS will export the Scooty Zest 110, Wego 110, Star HLX 100/125, Sport 100 ES, Phoenix 125, Stryker 125, Apache RTR 160/180/200, and the King DLX throughout the Central American market. Additionally, the brand will also export two products from Indonesia - the Max 125 and Neo 110. In the first phase of this association, five exhibition and sales rooms will be installed in the region, which will also offer the entire range of spare parts and technical service. In turn, TVS Motor Company’s products will be available in the 500 dealers MASESA has throughout Central America.
