Recently, TVS’ top boss announced the bikemaker will introduce six new EVs in the next two years
Looks like TVS Motor is going all out to achieve its EV dream, as the company’s top brass has approved plans to set up a new EV subsidiary, which we believe will be called TVS Electric.
In an official statement, TVS said it has already appointed around 500 engineers and set aside a Rs 1,000 crore budget for the upcoming EV-focused subsidiary. As of now, the only electric from the bike maker is the TVS iQube Electric.
We could have as many as six electric two-wheelers -- likely including the production version of the dashing TVS Creon e-scooter -- which TVS plans to introduce in the next 24 months. Curious to know what these could be? Here’s all the dope. With this lineup, the Indian giant will look to target global markets as well.

In related news, TVS recently acquired a massive stake in EGO Movement, a Swiss EV company that has a variety of electrics in its portfolio, including cargo vehicles and small e-bikes. This might just mean TVS is eager to have similar mass-market offerings in its lineup too.
This news surely has got us excited. Not only because we’ll be getting some striking new EVs but also it will encourage more manufacturers to step into the electric two-wheeler space, which still lacks variety and options in our country.
