The bike adopts a neo-retro design but is loaded with modern bits

After the speculation about TVS using the name Ronin, the bike’s images were leaked on TVS’ official website.
While we thought it’d be the production version of the TVS Zeppelin cruiser concept, the TVS Ronin adopts a neo-retro scrambler design with its round headlight, tear-drop shaped fuel tank, single-piece saddle, and a side-slung exhaust. The dual-tone colour scheme along with the black finishing for the engine and wheels add to the motorcycle’s retro charm.

The retro styling is accompanied by modern bits. As seen in the leaked pictures, the bike gets an all-LED lighting and gold finished inverted fork. The compact-looking instrument cluster should pack TVS’ SmartXonnect Bluetooth connectivity. As seen in the pictures, underpinnings on the bike include disc brakes on both ends and we expect it to get dual-channel ABS.
The TVS Ronin could be powered by an Apache RTR 200 4V-derived air-oil-cooled engine, albeit in a bored-out 220cc guise. For perspective, the Zeppelin cruiser concept showcased in 2018 was said to be powered by a 220cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine with mild hybrid making 20PS and 18.5Nm. TVS will launch the bike on the 6th of July 2022 and it could be priced around Rs 1.60 lakh, ex showroom. This will be TVS’ answer to the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250.
