Earlier, we had reported that TVS Motors is bringing the U69 faired motorcycle at the Auto Expo. Now, we have received another piece of information which states that the Hosur based manufacturer will also showcase the 300cc version of its popular motorcycle - TVS Apache. This is not where the story ends, in fact as per some reports, TVS is working on the updated versions of the baby RTRs that might be displayed at the upcoming biennial event.
TVS Apache 300 will come powered by the same 313cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that does the same duty on the BMW G 310 R. The motor generates a maximum power of 33.6bhp at 9,000rpm and a peak torque of 28Nm at 7,500rpm. The same engine will also be fitted in the full-faired TVS U69. The motor claims to return a fuel efficiency of 30kmpl besides pushing the vehicle to a top speed of 145kmph.
The company is also working on refreshed versions of the Apache RTR 160 and RTR 180. These were spotted doing test runs few days back and share design cues with their recently launched elder sibling - RTR 200 4V. The major changes include a new flat handlebar, RTR 200 inspired double barrel exhaust and a streetfighter type sharp front end. The new bikes might be equipped with TVS tyres as seen in spy shots. These can also get ABS at least as an option in the premium trim that will place them a bit higher in terms of price. Stay tuned to BikeDekho for first updates of TVS on Auto Expo!
