Upcoming Bikes Expected to be Launched in October 2015

The festive season is coming soon and two wheeler manufacturers are all set to rock it with their new and attractive offerings. This season we will see new two-wheeler launches in almost every segment, from the scooter to the performance category. So, let’s check out these upcoming bikes, which are expected to be launched in October 2015.
1) Hero MotoCorp Duet: Hero has already unveiled its upcoming unisex scooter- Duet at the launch of Maestro Edge. The scooter has a metal body along with features like the under-seat mobile charging port, remote seat opening, remote fuel-lid opening, pass switch etc. Powering the scooter is an 110cc motor which is claimed to make 8.31bhp of maximum power at 8,000rpm and a peak torque of 8.3Nm at 6,500rpm.
The scooter will be available in six attractive colour options- Candy Blazing Red, Pearl Silver White, Grace Grey, Matte Nature Green, Panther Black and Vernier Grey. The company has not revealed the price of the scooter yet, however, it is expected to be around Rs. 47,000 and it will compete with the other unisex scooters like Honda Activa, TVS Jupiter, Yamaha Alpha and Mahindra Gusto.

2) Honda CB Hornet: Unveiled at the Honda Revfest, CB Hornet is a premium commuter motorcycle with streetfighter looks. The motorcycle is powered by the new 160cc air-cooled engine, which also powers the CB Unicorn 160. Mated to a 5-speed gearbox, the motor makes power up to 14.5bhp at 8,000rpm and torque up to 14.61Nm at 6,000rpm.
Along with a very premium styling, the bike features mono-shock rear suspension, fully digital console, lightweight alloys, fat tyres, double disc brakes and CBS. The bike is expected to be priced around Rs. 80,000 and it will compete with the offerings like Yamaha FZ Series, Suzuki Gixxer, Bajaj Pulsar 180, TVS Apache RTR 180 and Hero Xtreme Sports.

3) Bajaj Avenger Street: The new Bajaj Avenger has already arrived in the stockyard of some dealerships and it could be called as Avenger Street. The bike has received many cosmetic updates along with a Dark Custom theme. Like the name suggests, the 2016 Bajaj Avenger is inspired by the Harley-Davidson Street 750 and it can be easily seen in its styling.
Propelling the new Bajaj Avenger Street seems to be the same 220cc, air-cooled motor that powers the existing model. The engine uses an oil-cooled and puts out a top power of 18.8bhp and a delivers a maximum torque of 17.5Nm. However, the performance figures could be altered for the new model, which can also deliver a better fuel economy. It is believed to be priced slightly higher than the current Avenger 220.

4) TVS Apache RTR 200: On of the most awaited motorcycles for a long time, TVS Apache RTR 200 is expected to be launched before this festive season. It could be a naked sport styled machine, inspired by the Draken X-21 concept, showcased at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo.
The TVS Apache RTR 200 is expected to be powered by a new 200cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor and make a maximum power around 24bhp. It can also get most of the advanced features come with the bikes in the respective segment like a fully digital console, light alloys, wide tyres, fat telescopic front forks, rear mono-shock damper, dual disc brakes and ABS as optional. The price of the bike will be around Rs. 1 lac and it will stand against the Bajaj Pulsar 200 and KTM Duke 200.

5) Suzuki Gixxer and Gixxer SF Double Disc: Suzuki is going to add optional rear disc brake feature to the naked sport Gixxer and its full-faired version Gixxer SF. The current version of the motorcycles offers only a front disc brake and a drum type unit at the rear. Both the motorcycles are powered by a 155cc, air-cooled engine, which churns out power up to 14.6bhp and torque up to 14Nm.
The Suzuki Gixxer and Gixxer SF features a premium styling along with comfortable ergonomics, 41mm fat front forks, rear mono-shock suspension, fully digital console, 140/60 section rear tyre and much more. The optional rear disc brake will also add around Rs. 3,000 extra to the cost of the standard version of the bikes.

6) Mahindra Mojo 300: After 5 years of the announcement, Mahindra is finally going to launch the awaited Mojo 300 this October. It is a roadster styled tourer, which gets an aggressive appearance. It sports a 300cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor. which produces around 27bhp of maximum power and torque up to 30Nm.
Mahindra Mojo has lots of premium features like Pirelli tyres, inverted front forks, front petal disc brake, dual headlamp with LED DRLs, dual side-slung exhaust mufflers and much more. It is expected to be priced around Rs. 1.7 lacs and it will directly compete with the KTM 390 Duke.

7) Honda’s new 125cc Bike: Honda might also launch its new 125cc mystery bike, teased at the Revfest. There Isn't any information about the motorcycle, however, it is expected to be a sportier model based on the CB Shine. The price of the bike will be slightly higher than that of the Shine and it will challenge the Hero Glamour, Bajaj Discover 125M, TVS Phoenix and Yamaha Saluto.

8) Kawasaki Versys 650: The middleweight adventure tourer from Kawasaki, Versys 650 will soon be marking its footprints to India to fill the void of a much needed adventure sportsbike in the country. The manufacturer has already imported the bike for homologation purposes, which further confirms that the bike will be launched anytime soon in the country. Powering the bike is a 649cc, parallel twin that churns out 69bhp of power and 64Nm of torque and has been derived from the Ninja 650, but with some fine tunings. With this, the Indian buyers can expect a price tag of over Rs. 5 lac (ex-showroom price) that is quite worthy seeing the overall package Kawasaki offers.
