With the new year around the corner, we look forward to these two-wheelers that are coming next year
The new year brings with it new motorcycles and scooters and we are not considering BS6 updates but all-new products. To make the list more accessible, we have included only two-wheelers under Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom). That narrows the list down to scooters and a few electric scooters. Take a look:
Honda Activa 6G:

Like the BS6 Activa 125, we expect the Activa 6G to get a new fuel-injected motor with a noiseless starter motor and start-stop tech. The new Activa is expected to have refreshed bodywork and possibly an external fuel filler cap. It is likely to command a premium of around Rs 5,000 over the Activa 5G and could cost around Rs 62,000 (ex-showroom).
Bajaj Chetak:
Bajaj unveiled its Chetak electric scooter last month. The upcoming e-scooter features clean lines and metal bodywork. It gets a 4kW Bosch electric motor with two riding modes and a claimed real-world range between 85 and 95 kms. The scooter is expected to be launched by January next year with the asking price reportedly around Rs 1 lakh.
22Kymco iFLow:
The 22Kymco iFlow has a conventional scooter silhouette and gets features like all-LED lighting, digital instrument console and IONEX swappable batteries. With the two swappable batteries, the claimed range is 160km. It gets a 2.1KW electric motor that offers a top speed of 60kmph. Electronic rider aids include Cruise and a Drag mode, hill assist and a reverse assist mode. The iFlow has been launched at Rs 90,000 with deliveries slated for September next year.
Hero Glamour:
We have already spotted the BS6 version of the Glamour FI being tested and it appears that the motorcycle will get much more than an updated motor. It appears to get revised bodywork and an updated semi-digital instrument console. The LED tail lamp also gets a refreshed design. The new BS6 motor is expected to make more torque than before but at the expense of power. The new Glamour is expected to command a premium of Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,000 over the current motorcycles asking price of Rs 69,950 (ex-showroom Delhi).
