KTM has unveiled the 390 Adventure in India. The first orange ADV for India will launch in January 2020. While KTM India has not revealed the prices, we went ahead and analysed what the expected price could be. The 390 Adventure shares quite a few components with the 390 Duke and both motorcycles are made in India and exported to other countries. We compared the 390 Duke’s price in the UK, USA and Canada and calculated the percentage difference to come up with an estimated price. We also factored in the fact that the India-spec 390 Adventure misses out on some components compared to the international-spec one. Here are the international prices:
Factoring in the average percentage between the three, the 390 Adventure costs an average of 13.5 per cent over the 390 Duke. Now the 390 Duke costs Rs 2.48 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and if we factor in the 390 Adventure’s price percentage increase, the number comes to Rs 33,400.

However, we need to consider the fact that the India-spec 390 Adventure will be different from the international model. The India-spec version misses out on adjustable front suspension and gets more affordable Metzeler Tourance tyres instead of Continental TKC tyres. Interestingly, the India-spec KTM 390 Adventure gets a bi-directional quickshifter that’s an optional Powerpart accessory on the international version.
With these variables factored in, we expect the India-spec 390 Adventure to cost Rs 25,000 to Rs 30,000 over the 390 Duke. By our estimation, the 390 Adventure could cost between Rs 2.73 lakh to 2.78 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
At that estimated price, the KTM 390 Adventure would be a brilliant value for money proposition especially considering that it comfortably sits between the Royal Enfield Himalayan (Rs 1.8 lakh) and the BMW G 310 GS (Rs 3.49 lakh). Stay tuned to check out if our estimation of the upcoming KTM 390 Adventure is correct or not.
