The demand for premium and performance scooters have increased over the past few years and the trend is likely to continue in 2022, with two premium brands entering the Indian scooter space. So here we bring you all the details that you need to know about the upcoming scooters.

Yamaha NMax 155 -

While the Yamaha NMax 155 is already on sale in Europe and a few other Asian countries, we expect Yamaha to bring it to our shores by July 2022. The maxi-scooter will come equipped with features such as an LED headlight, a fully digital instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity, a USB charging port, and an idle stop-start system. It will be powered by  the same 155cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine with VVA technology that we have witnessed on the Yamaha YZF-R15. However, the output figures on the NMax 155 might differ. Considering the equipment and mechanicals, we expect the NMax 155 to be priced around Rs 1.30 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Honda Forza 350 -

Honda's Forza 350 is another maxi-scooter that we expect to see in India in early 2022. The Forza 350 is expected to retain features such as voice command, twin-pod semi-digital instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity, dual-channel ABS, keyless ignition, a USB charging port and the 329.6cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine in the India spec variant. Upon its arrival, the maxi-scooter will attract buyers looking for an affordable alternative to the BMW C400 GT.
