Vespa in India again

For the third time, Vespa range is to introduce in India. The Italian auto company, Piaggio, will bring these scooters in India by March 2010. First of all, the range was launched with Bajaj Auto in 1960. At a later stage, the agreement between Bajaj and Piaggio outdated and the former started to produce its own scooters christened Chetak. After that alliance, Piaggio got an alliance with LML. That alliance was also ended in 1999. Now the company announced to introduce it again in India. The company will produce its range domestically. At present, the Italian firm produces three and four wheelers under the brand name Ape. This brand is manufactured in its Baramati facility.
