Vespa reveals new 125cc scooters at IAE

Today, at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo (IAE), Vespa has showcased three new premium scooters for the Indian line-up. One of which is Vespa 125 Sport revealed with another 125cc scooter named as Vespa 946. Being a Piaggio subsidiary, it also unveiled its most renowned scooter for the same segment, Piaggio Liberty. 

The manufacturer has kept the heart of the Vespa 125 Sport same as its other 125cc scooters, LX and VX but has done some tailoring to the design of the vehicle. Vespa has given this scooter rectangular headlight, side indicator and rear view mirrors that makes the appearance more sporty. The engine running the two-wheeler is 125cc, 3-valve, aluminum cylinder head, overhead cam engine mated with the CVT transmission. The engine is tweaked to churn out the maximum power of 10.06Ps at 7500rpm and total torque of 10.6Nm at 6000rpm.

A perfect example of a premium scooter is Vespa 946. Designed with high class innovation, the scooter is simply eye-pleasing and irresistible. Anti-lock brake system and ASR traction control are its futuristic features. LED circular taillight and fully digital instrumentation with the enthralling seat design makes this scooter smartest in its segment.

Piaggio Liberty is the most sold scooter by the company in the western markets and soon, it will be charging the Indian market with its exuberant presence. Design for extreme comfort, this scooter is coupled with high wheels, same 125cc mill.
