Vibgyor to have new plant in WB

Kolkata based two-wheeler maker company Vibgyor Allied Industries's top official told at Mumbai that the company is going to set up its second two-wheeler manufacturing plant in Dankuni (West Bangal). At the launch its vehicles in Mumbai, Vice president of the company, Marigen Banerjee said the company already has an existing manufacturing unit at Dhulagori near Howrah (WB) and now the company is making plan to launch its second plant by June 2010 and is investing Rs. 100 crore. Benerjee said that the company want to increase two-wheelers' manufacturing per month from 15,000 units (present) to 30,000 units per month. For more assembly plants, Vibgyor is looking a new platform at Maharashtra for western region according to demand. The company has launched its three new two-wheelers (Bike) with different engine capacity like Vibgyor Gallop 100cc, Vibgyor Shark 125cc and Vibgyor Hunter 150cc bike. Now the company is to work for 200cc bike and a utility scooter-Vibgyor Persona. At present the company has 521 and 1200 outlets which extensive dealer and sub dealer network. It will sell 1.5 lakh units of Gallop in the first year and increase it to 2.5 lakh by 2010 and 3.5 lakh units in 2011. Manufacturing capacity of the vehicles is 17,000 units per month with multiple shifts. On other hand, India's second largest bike maker company Bajaj has launched its new bike variant Bajaj Platina with 125cc engine and now going to launch Bajaj KTM bike also.
