Vintage rally for Auto Mall 2010 exhibition

On Wednesday it was the time for vintage car-lovers to go nostalgic as the vehicles of the bygone era hit the road of Bangalore. The ageless charm and beauty of these vehicles will be there forever. To mark the beginning of one of India's largest multi-city automobile exhibition, 'Auto Mall 2010', 12 vintage cars along with six Lambretta bikes drove through the busy roads. The rally that started from Cubbon Park to Palace Ground included the vintage cars like Adler 1000, Jaguar, Pontiac Silver Streak, Humberto and Chevrolet Eagle series. Some branded cars like the Ford Grain Truck of 1927 was also there which captivated the attention of many people
Bhaskar Rao , the Transport Commissioner flagged off this event. The event will go on till September 12 including the curtain-raiser that starts from Thursday. Rao stated that he hopes the exhibition is a success and more Bangaloreans come out with their classic collection of cars and bikes to restore sophistication and elegance on the streets. This multi-city automobile exhibition called 'Auto Mall 2010' will be held at Tripuravasini, Palace Grounds. The exhibition will continue from 10am to 8 pm. Auto Mall 2010 will see new brands and range of bikes and cars.
