From new launches to spy shots and business developments - here are the highlights of last week

 

There were quite a few interesting developments in our two-wheeler market last week. While a number of motorcycles slated for launch this year were spied testing, a couple of online leaks revealed interesting details of other upcoming bikes. We round up some of the important news from last week into one story:

Upcoming Bikes Spotted:

One of the most anticipated motorcycles of 2019, the KTM 390 Adventure was caught testing in the country yet again. However, this time, it packed some interesting touring accessories. Here’s our analysis of the motorcycle. The Austrian brand’s upcoming flagship naked in India, the 790 Duke was also spotted in the country for the first time.

Honda also has something really exciting for enthusiasts (read CB300R) coming in a few months. The Honda CB300R was spotted in the country for the first time, during what looked like a commercial shoot. We analysed the spy shots, and realised that there’s one aspect of the motorcycle that doesn’t quite match with the one sold abroad.

A leaked image of the 2019 Dominar 400 rolling off the assembly line also surfaced online last week. The new model comes in new colours for the Indian market, and also packs sophisticated underpinnings. Here’s everything you need to know about this upcoming power cruiser.

Suzuki introduced the 2019 iteration of the V-Strom 650XT in the Indian market in the week gone by. However, there's nothing to talk about other than the new colour scheme and graphics.

Bookings for Yamaha’s upcoming performance naked, the MT-15 commenced unofficially last week. In fact, the India-bound bike’s specs also surfaced on the web. As per the leaked document, it features the same engine as the R15 v3.0, and makes the same amount of power too!

The Bajaj Pulsar 220F has consistently racked up impressive sales numbers for the Indian brand. In a bid to replicate its success with the smaller, Pulsar 180, the bikemaker will be introducing the Pulsar 180F in February. So how different is this motorcycle from the older one?
