Spec reveals, launches, festive offers and other exciting news

This week has been quite an exciting one, with interesting offers from big brands, and other announcements we were eagerly awaiting. If you weren’t able to follow everything, don’t worry we have got you covered with this weekend wrapup.

Royal Enfield Himalayan 452

The much anticipated Royal Enfield Himalayan 452’s specifications have finally been revealed. The bike gets a new 452cc liquid-cooled engine dubbed ‘Sherpa’, and when compared to old Himalayan the new one represents a generational leap. Royal Enfield had also released a video of the Himalayan 452 called the ‘final test’ which revealed a lot about the bike that specification numbers aren’t able to capture, check it out here.

Ather

Homologation documents have surfaced online which hints at the launch of a new variant of the Ather 450X known as the Ather 450X HR, HR potentially standing for ‘Higher Range’. The new variant will come with improvements such as revised throttle maps and coasting regen similar to what we saw in the Ather 450S.

The company also announced festive offers for customers in the form of a nationwide service camp offering customers discounts and other lucrative deals. Read all about the new variant and the festive offers here.                

Jawa-Yezdi 

Jawa and Yezdi have announced attractive deals for customers as part of this festive season, including EMI schemes and an extended warranty. The offers are valid till Diwali, to know more check out our article on the same.

Honda

The Honda XL750 Transalp, which was first unveiled at EICMA 2022 has now been launched in India, the bike comes packed with quite a lot of features like 5-inch TFT display, Throttle-by-wire system that allows the rider to choose between 5 riding modes: Sport, Standard, Rain, Gravel and User

Honda has kept the prices attractive and the bike now competes with other premium ADVs like the Suzuki V-Strom 650 XT and the Triumph Tiger 850 Sport. To know about the Transalp’s pricing check out our launch story here.

TVS 

We had the chance to ride the TVS X, an electric scooter that comes at an unbelievable price of Rs. 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Just to put things in perspective, with that money you can get 1 Triumph Speed 400, 2 TVS Apache RTR 160 4Vs, 3 Hero Splendor Plus Xtecs, 4 Hero HF Deluxes and 5 TVS XL 100s.
