Weekly Wrap-Up: 13th Auto Expo Concluded Successfully, KTM Launches Updated Models and 2016 IBW Gets a New Venue

Its another weekend and we are here again with the weekly wrap-up. With the previous week went flooded with the news and updates of Auto Expo, this one started off with the successful completion of the same. The motor show witnessed over 6 lac visitors and several personalities from the Bollywood and sports fraternity graced the occasion. Besides this, KTM silently launched the 2016 versions of its motorcycles in the country with heavy technical updates. The 2016 India Bike Week (IBW) that is scheduled to take place in Goa on 19th and 20th Feb 2016 recently got a new venue as the Arpora Sporting Ground on the Anjuna – Baga road. TVS Jupiter has been spied in a new avatar that features EFi and front disc brake. In an exclusive interview with an official of UM motorcycles, we came to know that the Renegade range will be getting more variants by year end.

First Look of 2016 Triumph Tiger Sports Revealed

After the successful launches of Street Twin and T120 at the Auto Expo 2016, the iconic British motorcycle maker has now revealed the first look of 2016 Tiger Sport. The latest entrant in the Triumph motorcycle fleet gets its power by a 1050cc, 3-cylinder inline engine that also powers the 2016 Speed Triple. The new Tiger Sports compete against the Kawasaki Versys 1000 and BMW R 1200 GS. Other important features of the motorcycle include ride-by-wire throttle, various riding modes, multi-level traction control, ABS, Slip-assist clutch and cruise control. Read More

TVS Jupiter Spied: Front Disc & EFI On Its Way?

Recently, two test mules of TVS Jupiter were spotted in Coimbatore with front disc brake and fuel-injection system. The scooters were seen equipped with O2 sensors and didn’t have a choke that comes associated with the carburetor, which gave the signals of Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI). Read More

 KTM Silently Launches 2016 RC and Duke Twins in India

The Austrian automaker - KTM finally brings the updated versions of its all four products - 200 Duke, 390 Duke, RC 200 and RC 390 in India. However, the launch of these updates was silent as the manufacturer decided to directly start retailing the new models across the dealerships without any prior announcement. The most updated of the lot - the RC 390 now comes with a slipper clutch that already seen in the 390 Duke. With just ten days left for the start of India’s biggest biking festival, riders from all over India are gearing up to ride to majestic Goa for the great migration. 2016 Auto Expo Concludes on a Successful Note with over 6 Lac Visitors

The Indian Auto Expo comes to an end successfully with the fifth public day concluding on 9th February, 2016. The biennial event was jointly organised at India Expo Mart at Greater Noida by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA). Honda Silently Re-Launches CB Unicorn 150 at Auto Expo

After stealing the 2016 motor show with its 110cc moto scooter - NAVi, Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) is also bringing their 150cc motorcycle - CB Unicorn 150. The bike was discontinued earlier after the decision of the manufacturer to launch the CB Unicorn 160 as a replacement. However, the overall sales of the new Unicorn 160 did not match up to that of retired Unicorn 150 and hence the 150cc bike made its comeback at the biennial event. Read More

Exclusive: UM Renegade to Get More Variants by Year End, Confirms Official

UM Motorcycles that recently entered the Indian market with the launch of new products at Delhi Auto Expo has plans to expand its range further by 2016 end. In an interview with BikeDekho, an official has confirmed this by saying that they are more into cruisers for now and for the time being, their focus is this particular segment only. UM Motorcycles have launched three motorcycles under the Renegade range namely Commando, Sport S and Classic. Read More

2016 Honda CBR 150R Spotted Testing in Indonesia; Interesting Details Emerge

The images of what is claimed to be the 2016 version of Honda’s popular sportbike - CBR 150R are going viral on the internet these days. The bike is spotted doing test runs in Indonesia and is seen with a whole new design philosophy and cosmetic upgrades.
