2015 is gone and we have stepped into another year with new hopes and plans. Like the year that passed, 2016 will also have a lot to offer and the two-wheelers manufacturers would be coming up with a lot of products. In this week, that was a mix-up of two years, the main news that gained the attention is the new 250cc Suzuki Gixxer or GSX-R250 being spotted in a Japanese production facility. Talking of domestic scenario, Mahindra is all set to launch a new scooter this month, which it has codenamed as G108 for now. The 2016 model of Triumph Street Twin will be sold in the country for which the company has started taking bookings with a token amount of Rs. 1 lac. The Indian two-wheeler giant, Hero MotoCorp is planning to launch three new performance motorcycles in the year. Besides these, some Suzuki dealers across the country are now giving an option to their Gixxer owners to transform their bikes into Gixxer SF at Rs. 15,000 without voiding the warranty.

Mahindra to launch a new scooter this month

Mahindra seems to be on a roll when it comes to their two wheelers. They didn’t have a lot of success with their older scooters the Rodeo and the Duro but their latest entrant the Gusto seems to be doing well. They launched a special edition of the Gusto in October this year and it looks like we’ll be seeing a face lifted version of that soon. Mahindra has confirmed the launch of their new scooter titled – The G108. We’re guessing this might just be a code name for now and that they’ll hopefully have a more creative name planned for it. Booking Commences for 2016 Triumph Street Twin in India

Triumph Motorcycles India has started accepting booking for its most affordable bike – the 2016 Street Twin. Few weeks ago, the motorcycle was revealed along with Bonneville’s new range. The bookings have started at dealerships in Delhi and Mumbai with an initial amount Rs 1 lac and the deliveries are expected to start in April 2016 after its launch in the country. However, the British manufacturer has not revealed official launch date yet, but it is expected that the motorcycle will be showcased in the 2016 Auto Expo. The Triumph Street Twin will be imported in India as a completely-knocked-down (CKD) unit. Read More

Hero MotoCorp Planning to bring three new performance motorcycles in 2016

According to some reliable reports in the market recently, Indian automaker Hero is planning to bring its three new performance motorcycles in 2016. For past few months, the new launches in the small displacement segment by Hero have not been performing well. However, taking these failures in their stride, the company is now working on three new motorcycles at its new R&D center. After the discontinuation of Karizma, Hero is working hard to get a foothold in the competitive market. Australian MotoGP rider Casey Stoner who returned to Ducati last month as their test rider and brand ambassador for the year 2016 will not be participating in any races now.
