This week saw many launches of some of the much awaited models showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo. Just a day after the launch of the updated Suzuki Access 125, Royal Enfield launched the Himalayan. These launches were followed by a silent launch of the 125cc Gusto by Mahindra and the 650 NK by the Chinese manufacturer, CFMoto. 2016 Suzuki Access 125 Launched at Rs. 53,887
Suzuki has launched the updated version of its popular 125cc scooter - Access in India today at Rs. 53,887 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The vehicle was unveiled at the 2016 Indian Auto Expo and it looked completely different from its existing version. Major updates include chrome headlight casing, revamped body design and completely new instrument console. Read More
Royal Enfield Himalayan Launched at Rs. 1.55 lac
Royal Enfield has finally launched the Himalayan in India at Rs. 1,55,545 (ex-showroom, Maharashtra) and it will cost you Rs. 1,78,872 (on-road, Mumbai). The Himalayan was first unveiled on 2nd February 2016 in New Delhi followed by a media ride a few days ago. The 410cc machine is seen as the first proper entry level adventure motorcycle that will be available at a much affordable price tag in comparison to other bikes in this segment. With its launch, Royal Enfield has finally stepped into adventure motorcycling, which was earlier known for its torquey, thumping cruisers only. Mahindra Gusto 125 launched at Rs 50,920
Mahindra Two-Wheelers Ltd. have finally launched the Gusto 125 at Rs. 50,920 (ex-showroom, Chennai) for (the) DX variant while the top end trim VX is priced at Rs. 54,920 (ex-showroom, Chennai). The new Gusto features a dual-tone body paint with chrome (inserts) on the side panels in the top variant. Mahindra has also confirmed that they will introduce the disc brake variant soon. With the launch of the Gusto 125, the Indian automaker is eyeing the market share of the Activa 125, the Suzuki Access 125 and the Swish 125. Read More
Royal Enfield Himalayan Arriving in a Few Days, Image Gallery Inside
Royal Enfield is finally ready to launch their adventure tourer, the Himalayan in India on March 16th. It took 5 years to develop this state-of-art motorcycle and has been tested on various terrains with CS Santosh. Also, Siddhartha Lal took the machine on the Himalayas and tested it to the core. We are a few days away from the launch of the motorcycle and eagerly waiting for the price to be announced. It hasn't got any competition yet, but the Austrian automaker, KTM has made the announcement about the launch of their adventure tourer motorcycle in India. New Suzuki Access 125 Image Gallery
Suzuki has launched the updated version of the Access 125 today in India priced at Rs. 53,887 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It comes kitted with a few updates when compared to its previous generation. It was unveiled at the 2016 Auto Expo including elements with best-in-class features like the longest seat, largest under seat storage, larger floorboard, front pocket, optional DC socket and a Suzuki Easy Start System. It gets a multi-functional instrument cluster with digital display and two trip meters. Other features include a chrome finished headlight, 3D emblem, alloy wheels and an optional front disc brake. Suzuki has given the Access an updated 125cc mill that produces 8.6bhp at 7,500rpm with a peak torque of 10.2Nm at 5,000rpm. The new engine claims to be 20% more fuel efficient too. Read More
TVS Apache RTR 200 Commences Bookings
TVS had launched its flagship machine, the Apache RTR 2004V earlier this year and it was also showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo. However, there were no details available on its bookings until now. According to sources, some dealerships have started taking bookings for the Apache 200 for a token amount of Rs. 10,000. The official bookings are expected to start from the first week of April 2016. Eider-CFMoto 650 NK launched in India at Rs. 3.37 lakh
A Hyderabad-based company, Eider Motors has launched the CFMoto 650 NK motorcycle in India. Sources believe that the street fighter is priced at Rs. 3.37 lakh (ex-showroom, Andhra Pradesh). CFMoto is a Chinese export only automaker and has entered the Indian market in collaboration with Eider Motors. Read More
Harley-Davidson India to Hike Prices
The American motorcycle manufacturer, Harley-Davidson has announced that there will be an increase in the prices of selected models. The prices will be hiked up by Rs. 30,000 due to the impact of the Rupee-Dollar exchange rate fluctuation. Harley-Davidson India has said that the Street 750, the Sportster series and the Softail range of motorcycles will face the price hike in India. Suzuki Motorcycles India has recently launched the updated version of its 125cc scooter - Access in the Indian market. There is not much competition in this segment and hence the new Access might turn out to be a big game changer for the company. The Activa 125, which is the closest rival of the scooter now falls short of some features in comparison. Most often the updates on a model are pretty much cosmetic.
