The week saw three launches, out of which, two were TVS motorcycles, Apache RTR 200 and Victor. Bajaj also launched its new commuter, CB 100B. With the Auto Expo just few days away, Royal Enfield has geared up for the launch of its 410cc motorcycle, Himalayan on February 2 and Harley-Davidson India will be launching 1200 Custom on January 28. TVS has launched their much-anticipated flagship - Apache RTR 200 4V in India. The bike will come in three variants and will be available in following seven colours - Matte Black, Matte Grey, Matte White, Matte Red, Matte Yellow, Gloss White and Gloss Black. TVS Apache RTR 200 has been priced at Rs. 88,990 for the carbureted version, Rs. 1.07 lac for the fuel-injected version and Rs. 1.15 lac for the ABS & Pirelli tyres equipped model (all prices, ex-showroom, Delhi). 2016 TVS Victor Launched in India; Priced at Rs. 49,490

TVS launched its  2016 Victor in India today at a starting price of Rs. 49,490 (ex-showroom, Chennai). The bike is available in two variants, the second variant comes with disc brake at the front and has been priced at Rs 51,490 (ex-showroom, Chennai). Few days back, the Indian manufacturer teased it on its dedicated website. The bike was first launched in 2001, but was discontinued in 2007 due to fall in sales. This will be the first 110cc motorcycle in India to have 3-valve engine. It will be placed ahead of the Star City Plus. Read More

New Bajaj CT 100B Launched Silently; Most Affordable Motorcycle in India Now

The Pune-based auto maker, Bajaj, has silently rolled out the new most affordable motorcycle- CT 100B in India. The company has not announced the launch, however, the motorcycle is available on sale at various dealerships across the country. This new Bajaj offering costs around Rs. 4,000 lesser than the spoke wheel trim of CT 100 which comes with a price tag of Rs. 35,034 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This makes this new CT 100B the most affordable motorcycle available here with a price tag of around Rs. 31,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Read More

Harley-Davidson India is launching a new motorcycle, Sportster 1200 Custom on January 28, 2016. The bike is coming after the manufacturer discontinued two of its models, SuperLow and FatBoy Special from the Indian lineup. The company will be launching the motorcycle during the Great Desert Ride which will take place from January 27 to 30. Like all other offerings from the American bike manufacturer, 1200 Custom will also be coming to the country through Completely Knocked Down (CKD) route. It is expected to be priced somewhere around Rs. 10 lac and will rival Indian Scout in India. Read More

The performance bike segment in India has come a long way over the last few years. The Austrian manufacturer KTM has gradually aced in the 200cc arena with its good looking orange machines - the 200 Duke and RC200. Though, Bajaj tried to end its rule and came up with its liquid-cooled Pulsar 200NS but soon realized that the idea backfired as the bike didn’t manage to meet its expectations on sales. Recently, the Austrian manufacturer featured its Duke 390 with a slipper clutch which will also be seen in its RC 390 anytime soon.
