Weekly Wrap-Up: Two Big Launches, Five Upcoming Bikes Confirmed & Yamaha Wins 2015 MotoGP Title

Hello folks! As the week is going to end, we are here again with your weekly dose of two-wheeler world. The biggest news was delivered by MotoCorp as they introduced its two new refreshing scooters in the country christened as Hero Maestro Edge and Duet. However, the week remained full of announcements with Yamaha revealing its new paint schemes for its two models - FZ-S and Fazer. The Italian giant, Benelli announced that it will be bringing the TNT 25 to India by November this year. It also stated that four of its models - Benelli TNT 600i, TNT 600GT, TNT 300 and TNT 25 would be getting Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) by this year end. Ducati and Mahindra released official videos of their upcoming products and from the first impressions, they look really enticing. The Yamaha fans who follow MotoGP religiously, it is time to rejoice as their favourite team has grabbed the 2015 MotoGP World Championship Title even when four races are yet to be organised. Besides this the Japanese giant has also started taking bookings for its track-focussed weapon - the YZF-R1M.

Hero MotoCorp Launched Maestro Edge at Rs. 49,500, Duet Unveiled
Hero MotoCorp launched Maestro Edge LX at Rs. 49,500 and VX at 50,700 (ex-showroom) in India today. Earlier, we reported that brochure of both, Duet and Maestro Edge were leaked prior to the launch. The all new offerings by Hero MotoCorp will lock horns with the segment leader, Honda Activa. The company has not yet announced the price of Duet but have announced that the scooter will be available for sale soon. This time, the company has used its first in-house developed engines in these scooters and will employ the same in their upcoming scooters as well. Read More
Bajaj to Launch Three Avengers this Week, A New Motorcycle Brand Also Under Speculations
After a long wait, the Indian auto enthusiasts can finally hope for new Avenger series and if the recent reports are to be believed, Bajaj Auto will be launching three new models of its popular cruiser bike, “Avenger” this week. Besides this, the other good news is that the manufacturer is planning to bring a new motorcycle brand to the country after almost a decade. Read More
Benelli TNT 25 to be Launched in India This November
Recently, on September 24, Benelli launched its LE TNT 600i in India. Now, the Italians are planning to offer their cheapest model in the country which is expected to launch in November 2015. The 249cc motorcycle will be named TNT 25 and will be different from its ongoing cousins as it is the first single-cylinder motorcycle by Benelli in India. Read More
Optional ABS in Benelli by year end
Benelli will be introducing optional ABS in its four selected models- Benelli TNT 600i, TNT 600GT, TNT 300 and TNT 25. Speaking at the launch of 600i LE, Shirish Kulkarni, Chairman, DSK-Motorwheels has confirmed this information. The company has recently introduced TNT 600i limited while the most affordable vehicle by the company TNT 25 would be launched by November. Read More
Mahindra Mojo: Official Video and Logo Released
Mahindra has officially revealed the logo of its much awaited bike ‘Mojo’. This new logo has a dynamic appearance as company aims to develop a different identity for its premium segment motorcycle. The company claims that the logo has been designed after a long research and is designed to meet the demands of the present motorcycle aficionado. Ducati releases "This Is Black" Video Teaser
Once again Ducati has something new up its sleeves as the company has uploaded a new teaser video for which is ambiguously hints at something dark is in store for the bike aficionados. So we will have to wait and watch to find out whether it is something that will get its ’ name' from black or it is a vehicle with a ‘dark’ look, or both. Yamaha to Commence Bookings for the Track-Focused YZF-R1M
Previously, when Yamaha YZF-R1M was launched in April 2015, all units got sold out within a few hours of the commencing of bookings. The Japanese manufacturer is now looking forward to repeat its performance and will be starting the bookings for its track-oriented motorcycle on October 1, 2015. Suzuki Concludes its First Gixxer Cup at the BIC (Results)
Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL) has recently completed the first season of the Suzuki Gixxer Cup. The tournament, as the name suggests was exclusively for the Suzuki Gixxer Motorcycles with the last race being organized at the Buddh International Circuit last weekend. This FMSCI approved event was organised by MMSC and had 5 rounds that took place at three different places namely the Kari Motor Speedway, Coimbatore, Madras Motor Race Track, Chennai and Buddh International Circuit, Greater Noida. Indian Motorcycles to open a New Brand Outlet in Mumbai on 8 October
Indian Motorcycles, the American based company has announced that they will be inaugurating a new dealership on 8th October at Mumbai, the financial capital of the India. Movistar Yamaha Wins the 2015 MotoGP Team World Championship with 4 Races to Spare
Movistar Yamaha have won the 2015 MotoGP Team World Championship title with four races of the season yet to happen. They have become the champions after a gap of 4 years with Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi outperforming the other riders. These riders are also battling for the first place in this MotoGP edition with VR46 leading his Spanish teammate by a margin of 14 points. The recent race in Gran Premio Movistar de Aragón showcased a first spot finish for Lorenzo and a podium finish for Rossi ensuring the winner’s title for Movistar Yamaha. Read More
