At BikeDekho, we tell you the exact acceleration and fuel efficiency figures that the Aerox 155 delivered.
The Yamaha Aerox 155 draws power from the same 155cc liquid-cooled engine as the YZF-R15 Version 4.0. This engine, further assisted by VVA, puts out 15PS and 13.9Nm, making it among the most powerful scooters on sale. As you can see, the Aerox isn’t particularly quick off the line, but it has a strong mid-range, and it’s able to reach 80kmph under 11 seconds -- a really impressive feat. Roll-on figure is too strong, and this will make the Aerox a hoot to ride in the city. You can also make quick overtakes in traffic.
Braking
With this kind of performance, we were expecting the Aerox 155 to offer excellent stopping power, but unfortunately, it doesn’t. Even after getting single-channel ABS, the front tends to lock a bit under heavy braking. Also, the brake feel and bite could have been better from the 230mm disc at the front. Furthermore, a rear disc brake would have improved braking performance.
Fuel Efficiency
The performance of the maxi-scooter doesn’t take a toll on its performance. The Aerox 155 returned 48.62kmpl in the city and 42.26kmpl on the highway in our mileage test.
