Confused between the 150cc motorcycle’s variants and what they have to offer? We help you take the right call
Yamaha recently updated its motorcycle lineup to comply with the upcoming BS6.2 norms that will come into effect April 1, 2023. The marque’s 150cc FZ family has received some substantial upgrades thanks to this and here’s a lowdown on what the updated variants are, and what they have to offer:
FZ-S Version 4.0
Price: Rs 1,27,400
This is the newest addition to the FZ family. The new variant is the only one amongst its siblings to flaunt the new design. This bike features a new headlight design with a LED unit in the centre flanked by vertical LED DRLs. Yamaha has also given this bike traction control, just like the MT-15 V2, R15 V4 and the FZ-X.
FZ-S Version 3.0 Deluxe
Price: Rs 1,24,400
Interestingly, Yamaha chose to keep the outgoing model, Version 3.0, on sale. This bike flaunts the now old headlight. Aesthetic bits distinguishing it from the other FZ variants are dual-tone seat, coloured alloy wheels and an LED taillight. Another feature shared with the new Version 4.0 is Bluetooth connectivity that gives basic updates but lacks navigation.
FZ-S Version 3.0
Price: Rs 1,21,400
If you think Bluetooth connectivity is gimmicky, and like chrome bits on your bike instead, this is the variant for you. Available in two single-tone colours, this variant gets chrome garnishes on the headlight and tank extensions.
FZ Version 3.0
Price: Rs 1,13,700
The base model of the FZ lineup skips Bluetooth connectivity, fancy paint schemes, chrome treatment, but shares the design, underpinnings and has the same engine. But, this is over Rs 14,000 cheaper than the top model and Rs 7,000 affordable than the Version 3.0. Not a bad deal, right?
