Yamaha India to unveil a new product on 7th January

The Indian subsidiary of the Japanese auto giant, Yamaha Motor India is going to unveil something new on the 7th of January, 2014. We have already got the block your date invitation for the event, which says “Yamaha Motor India Sales Pvt. Ltd. gears up to unveil a new chapter.......” The invitation hasn't confirmed the product to be unveiled, even they have not cleared that it will be a product or something else.

However, If it is a new two-wheeler, we believe that it could be a new automatic scooter. The scooter will be a more premium unisex scooter, which might share the Ray's 113cc, single cylinder motor, or it will come with a new 125cc engine. The solo product of the company in scooter segment, Ray is doing quite well. So, a more premium product in the segment can be a step of the company to compete with the segment topper Honda Activa.

Recently, the company unveiled the prototype of its entry level track machine R25 at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Sow. The bike seems to be inspired by the company's MotoGP bike YZR-M1 and sports a 249cc, 4-stroke, liquid cooled parallel twin. However, it will take time to debut in the market.
