The Japanese auto major, Yamaha Motor, is exhibiting a revolutionary technology- MOTOBOT Ver. 1 at the 44th Tokyo Motor Show, Japan. It is not a new motorcycle or a new feature for automobiles, but it is an autonomous motorcycle-riding humanoid robot. Yes, it approaches riding operations from a human rider’s standpoint, with no modifications made to the motorcycle itself, isn’t it amazing? Yamaha is using its latest YZF-R1M supersport motorcycle as the reference bike for the concept.
Robots are generally developed to specialize in a particular task, so it can surpass the capabilities of a human body for attempting that task. And the Yamaha MOTOBOT Ver. 1 is no different, it has been developed under the concept of “Beyond Human Capabilities.” The goal of this highly advanced humanoid is to compete against one of the fastest MotoGP rider- Valentino Rossi’s lap times on a racetrack.
Yamaha is ready to put all of its knowledge and highly advanced technologies gained from the experiences of the company experts to develop this unbelievable new product. After completion of the project, it will create new value for the company as well as the world of biking.
