Yamaha Motor India may launch a new motorcycle tomorrow

Yamaha Motor India has sent us a block date invitation for a press conference held on 17th April, 2015. The invite says that the company is going to unveil a new chapter tomorrow. However, we believe that it might be a new commuter launch or unveiling for the market.

First we thought that Yamaha might bring the entry-level-performance- YZF-R25 or R3 in India, but then we concentrated on the shadow image of the motorcycle in the invite, and that is looking similar to the recently spied- Yamaha Saluto. So, the most probable reason of the conference seems to be the launch of this upcoming motorcycle, which could be a 110-125cc motorcycle.

Like the existing Yamaha YBR 110, which shares the design with its predecessor- Alba, the new Salute also borrows the design lines from their existing 110cc commuter. The company is not doing much well in the commuter segment as their offerings are outdated. This time, changes are major compared to the YBR 110, however, Yamaha now need some new innovation in design to stand ahead in this highly competitive market.
