The test rides have also commenced at select dealerships
Recently, Yamaha launched the MT-15 Version 2.0, and the bike has started reaching dealerships. As per our sources, the bikes will be available at all authorised Yamaha dealerships by the end of this month. Test rides and deliveries have also commenced at select dealerships. The MT-15 is priced at Rs 1.59 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it about Rs 13,000 dearer than its predecessor.
The MT-15 version 2.0 now features a new aluminium swingarm instead of a box-section unit. It also gets a new 37mm inverted fork at the front, while the rear is a linked monoshock. It comes in two new colour schemes: Cyan Storm and Racing Blue. The MT-15 now also gets a new LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. With the Yamaha Y-Connect smartphone app, you can access features like call, e-mail and SMS alerts, service reminders, last parked location, mileage, malfunction alerts, and post-ride stats. That said, there is no turn-by-turn navigation, which is disappointing. Unfortunately, it still doesn’t get dual-channel ABS either.

It continues to be powered by the same 155cc single-cylinder liquid cooled engine as before. Enhanced with Variable Valve Actuation (VVA) technology, a good balance of low-end grunt and top-end drive is ensured.
