Yamaha R3 or R25? Where most of the media is debating on this question for the Indian market, Topgear has come up with an exclusive information on it. It says that Yamaha is going to launch the YZF-R3 in India in August 2015. This is not all, it also claims that the company will launch the naked sport MT-320 in the country by March 2016.

Undoubtedly, Yamaha R3 is one of the most anticipated motorcycles in India since it was introduced worldwide in 2014. However, the company is continuously delaying its launch in India due to some undisclosed reasons. Now, this seems to be the right time to launch the bike just before the festive season to make a perfect start in the market.

Yamaha R3 is an entry-level performance motorcycle with supersport styling. The full faired motorcycle looks inspired by the company’s high-end superbikes like YZF-R1 (older version). Unlike the existing Yamaha R15, it is not a perfectly track-focused machine, but it has been designed for a lesser aggressive seating. So, the R3 will offer you more comfort and you can use this motorcycle as your daily purpose superbike.

Powering the R3 is a 321cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine, which delivers 41.4bhp of maximum power and peak torque of 29.6Nm. The motor comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox via wet multi-plate clutch arrangement. Along with the features like dual disc brakes and Michelin tyres, it also gets the ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) as a standard feature.

Scheduled for the next year, Yamaha MT-320 is a naked sport motorcycle built on the similar platform using the same 321cc mill. However, there are lots of minor changes in its engineering and the styling is inspired by MT-07 and MT-09.
