Yamaha has revealed its naked motorcycle MT-07 in a new edition in Spain. The restyled version features yellow and black paint scheme that the company names as ‘Night Fluo’. The bike has been launched at 6,299 pounds (Rs. 6.04 lac) with no difference in pricing than the already existing MT-07 Moto Cage. Besides, the manufacturer also launched the new MT-03 and the updated MT-09 that was recently launched in India at the 2016 Indian Auto Expo. For this reason, we cannot expect MT-07 to come to India in near future.
The bike is powered by a 689cc, twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that has been mated to a six-speed transmission. The fuel-injected motor generates a maximum power of 73.77bhp at 9,000rpm along with a peak torque of 68Nm at 6,500rpm. Built on a diamond frame, the bike has been telescopic forks at the front along with a link type monoshock at the rear. The braking duties are carried out by 282mm dual disc brakes at the front and 245mm single disc brake at the rear. Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) is being offered as an option.
The MT-07 Moto Cage ‘Night Fluo’ edition is a stunt-oriented motorcycle that features bright yellow alloy wheels, engine cover, radiator cover, knuckle guard and a black chassis. The bike has also been integrated with a designer leather seat to improve the comfort and appearance. The front gets an aggressive appeal along with an adjustable headlight shroud. The MT-07 has a fuel tank of 14-litres and stands with overall dimensions of 2,085mm x 745mm x 1,090mm (LxWxH).
The manufacturer has no plans to launch the MT-07 in India, at least for now. However, Yamaha should bring new variants of MT-09 to please the Indian buyers. With the Indian market gradually expanding day by day, bringing new and more options might actually help the companies gain more numbers on the sales charts. Stay tuned for more updates!
