Yamaha Scooters makes the wait grow longer, arriving by 2012 in India

After launching huge brigade of powerful Yamaha Bikes in Indian market, the legendary two wheeler manufacturing company Yamaha Motors on various occasions has planned to also make its entry in scooter segment of India. In fact, Yamaha had also demonstrated Yamaha scooters on selected Yamaha showrooms throughout India to know the feedback from customers about its performance and looks. Now the rumors regarding launch of scooter from Yamaha Motors is that Yamaha will launch its first scooter in Indian two wheeler market mainly during 2012, however, still the details regarding which scooter will be launch is still not yet been confirmed by Yamaha.
According to Mr. Hiroyuki Suzuki, CEO and Managing Director, Yamaha Motor Pvt Ltd, there is huge potential of growth in Indian scooter market and therefore company wants to make its strong entry in market and now company is speculating to launch its scooter in 2012. The forthcoming scooter will be targeted specifically for youth with impressive looks and easy to handle for commuting, similar to Yamaha Bikes being adorned by Indian youth. Mr. Suzuki also added that in Indonesia Yamaha captures stake of almost 46 % in scooter segment and company intends to repeat the same success in Indian two wheeler market.
There are rumors that Yamaha is working on creating an overall new scooter for Indian market specifically for youth riders. This new scooter is speculated to be code-named as Yamaha Fino 115cc Scooter. That means the new stylish Yamaha Fino 115cc scooter will be equipped with 110-125 cc engine and is expected to repeat the same success as created by Yamaha R15 and Yamaha FZ16 bikes in Indian two wheeler market. Industry experts expect that Yamaha may repeat the same success history that at present is enjoyed by dominating two wheeler company Honda Motors in India.
