Yamaha Xabre (M-Slaz) Launched in Indonesia at Rs. 1.46 lac

Yamaha Motor Company has launched its 150cc naked sports bike Xabre (M-Slaz) in Indonesia at a price tag of IDR 29.8 million (INR 1.46 lac). The bike was launched by Yamaha’s MotoGP star Valentino Rossi. It is a naked version of Yamaha R15 and is slated to be showcased in India at the upcoming 2016 Auto Expo. Alongside, the company is all geared up to unveil some of its new high-performance bikes at the event.

The bike has borrowed the engine from YZF-R15 that is 150cc, single cylinder, 4-stroke, four-valve, SOHC engine that is mated to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox. The engine is tuned to develop a maximum power of 16.09bhp at 8500 rpm and 14.3Nm at 7500 rpm. It employs Fuel Ignition as its fuel system and TCi as its ignition system. It has a compression ratio of 10.4:1 and bore x stroke ratio of 57mm x 58.7mm.

Yamaha Xabre not only shares its platform with its faired sibling R15 V2.0 but also sports some amazing characteristics like an LED headlamp, split-seats, masculine fuel tank, fully digital instrument cluster along with an LED tail lamp at the rear. It is available in three colors - Black Dagger, Gunmetal Katana and Silver Clarent.

M-Slaz aka Xabre is bolted on a diamond frame and measures 1959 mm in length, 795 mm in width, 1065 mm in height along with a wheelbase of 1350 mm. It has a seat height of 805mm and minimum ground clearance of 164mm. Moreover, it has been fitted with a neatly crafted fuel tank of 10.2 liters capacity. Apart from this, the bike has also been equipped with 110/70-17M C 54 front and 130/70-17M C 62 rear tyre. In terms of braking, it houses single disc brake at both the ends. The suspension system is loaded with telescopic forks at the front and swingarm mono-shock at the rear.
