Yezdi's most affordable motorcycle explored via images
Yezdi has finally come back to India after 26 long years. And the brand has arrived with three new bikes catering to different segments. One of them is the Roadster, and here's a detailed look at the motorcycle through these images.
The Yezdi Roadster is lean and muscular-looking, just like the Harley-Davidson Roadster. It comes equipped with all-LED lights, a headlight protector, bar-end mirrors, and a small windscreen.
Moving to the side, you'll notice that the bike only gets a 'Yezdi' logo sans graphics and a 'Roadster' sticker, making the panels look neat and tidy.
The Yezdi Roadster gets a teardrop-shaped 12.5-litre fuel tank with tank pads on both sides, a split-type seat, and cushioned backrest. The seat is 790mm tall, which should be fairly manageable for shorter riders.
The Yezdi Roadster features a multi-function LCD instrument cluster that shows real-time/average mileage, gear position, and other basics.
The switchgear looks premium. The one on the left gets buttons for navigating through the functions in the instrument cluster, whereas that on the right features a hazard lamp button. All these are in addition to other regular controls for engine kill, ignition, indicators, and horn.
Powering the Roadster is the Jawa Perak’s 334cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine (with a 6-speed gearbox), but tuned differently. Here, the motor develops 29.7PS and 29Nm. The fins on the engine further add to the old-school appeal.
The motorcycle gets twin blacked-out exhaust pipes for a stealthy look.
The motorcycle is suspended on a telescopic fork at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. For braking, it uses a 320/240mm disc setup assisted by dual-channel ABS with 'Road', 'Off-road', and 'Rain' modes.
The bike rides on 18-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels. The wheel design may look simple, but it goes well with the motorcycle. These alloy wheels come wrapped in MRF Zapper tubeless road-biased tyres, with a 100-section unit at the front and a 130-section unit at the rear.
The Yezdi Roadster is available in five colour options: Dark Smoke Grey, Dark Hunter Green, Dark Steel Blue, Chrome Sin Silver, and Chrome Gallant Grey.
The Chrome variants additionally feature a tall windscreen, metal finish on the powertrain, a chrome finish for the twin exhausts, and handlebar-mounted chromed-finished mirrors.
The Yezdi Roadster starts at Rs 1,98,142 and goes up to Rs 2,06,142 (ex-showroom Delhi). It competes with the Royal Enfield Meteor 350.
