Honda has finally revealed the Activa e: in India, to rival the other premium electric scooters in the country. Here’s how the Activa e: differentiates itself from the Activa 6G. The Activa electric scooter comes with a range of modern features along with a huge touch screen, navigation and more. Honda has announced the dates for when the battery-swapping stations will be operational.

What is the price of Honda Activa e: and when will it launch?

The Honda Activa e: has only been unveiled for now. It will be launched in January 2025, which is when the prices shall be announced. The deliveries for the electric Activa will begin in February 2025. However, we expect it to be priced at around Rs 1.3 lakh (ex-showroom).

How many variants does the Honda Activa e: come in?

The Honda Activa e: comes in two variants: Activa e:, and Activa e: with Honda RoadSync Duo. The base variant gets a smaller TFT screen and misses out on a few connectivity features. 

How many colours does the Honda Activa e: come in?

The electric scooter is available in five colour schemes: Pearl Shallow Blue, Pearl Misty White, Pearl Serenity Blue, Matt Foggy Silver Metallic and Pearl Igneous Black.

What is the battery and range of Honda Activa e:?

Both variants of the Honda Activa e: gets two swappable 1.5kWh batteries which Honda claims will provide a range of 102km.

What are the specifications of the Honda Activa e:?

The electric Honda Activa makes 6kW and 22Nm. Honda claims it will accelerate from 0 to 60kmph in 7.3 seconds, and has a top speed of 80kmph. It gets an all-new underbone chassis. The suspension consists of a telescopic fork and a monoshock. The scooter gets a 90/90-12 tyre at the front and a 110/80-12-inch tyre at the rear with alloy wheels. It gets a 160mm disc at the front and a 130mm drum at the rear for the brakes. Due to the swappable batteries, the underseat storage is quite low. The Honda Activa e: weighs in at 119kg kerb and has a ground clearance of 171mm. 

What features does the Honda Activa e: get?

The Honda Activa e: top variant gets a 7-inch TFT screen which can be controlled using toggle switches on the handlebar. The scooter will get three riding modes: Econ, Standard and Sport which will affect the range and performance of the scooter. The TFT screen will support other features such as real-time connectivity with the Honda RoadSync Duo app, turn-by-turn navigation, music controls and Bluetooth connectivity, over-the-air updates, topple alert, and maintenance alert. The TFT screen also adjusts its brightness automatically depending on the time of day. The scooter gets a 40w USB-C charging socket on the front apron along with two small cubby holes where you can store small stuff.  Activa e: also comes with Honda’s H-Smart key that gets features like Smart Find, Smart Safe, Smart Unlock and Smart Start.  

The lower variant of the Honda Activa e: gets a 5-inch TFT and misses out on features such as topple alert, maintenance alert, call and music control, navigation, live-tracking and over the air updates. 

Is the Honda Activa e: available in my city?

The Honda Activa e: will be available in Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru to start with. Honda plans to set up battery-swapping stations in other major cities as well and will launch the scooter in a phased manner. 

Whom does the Honda Activa e: go against?

The Honda Activa e: once launched will go against the likes of TVS iQube, Ola S1 and the Bajaj Chetak.
