The scooter is available in two variants and five colour options
Honda recently unveiled the Activa electric scooter in India. The scooter is available in two variants: Activa e: and Activa e: Honda RoadSync Duo. Both the variants are available in five colour options: Pearl Shallow Blue, Pearl Misty White, Pearl Serenity Blue, Matt Foggy Silver Metallic and Pearl Igneous Black. Let’s have a look at what’s different between the two variants:
Honda Activa e:
The Honda Activa e: gets two 1.5kWh swappable batteries which deliver a claimed range of 102km. It makes 6kW and 22Nm, and Honda claims it will accelerate from 0 to 60kmph in 7.3 seconds, and has a top speed of 80kmph. The chassis is an underbone type, it gets a telescopic fork and monoshock at the rear for the suspension setup, 12-inch tyres with alloy wheels, and 160mm disc at the front and a 130mm drum at the rear for the brakes.
The standard variant gets a 5-inch TFT display which gets three riding modes, reverse mode, auto brightness adjusting display, side-stand indicator, a 40W USB-C charging socket and Honda’s H-Smart key that gets features like Smart Find, Smart Safe, Smart Unlock and Smart Start.
Honda Activa e: Honda RoadSync Duo
The Honda RoadSync Duo is the higher variant of the two and shares the same battery and underpinnings as the standard variant. The main difference is the features it comes with. It gets a 7-inch TFT display. This gets additional features such as real-time connectivity with the Honda RoadSync Duo app, turn-by-turn navigation, music controls and Bluetooth connectivity, over-the-air updates, topple alert, and maintenance alert.
Price and Rivals
Honda India will reveal the prices of both the variants of the Activa electric in January 2025. Once launched the electric scooter will go against the likes of TVS iQube, Ola S1 and the Bajaj Chetak.
