Finally, the mystery of the upcoming 160cc Honda bike has been solved and we get to know that the company is going to launch an upgraded version of its CB Unicorn soon. Here are some leaked pictures of the upcoming Honda CB Unicorn 160, which seems ready for the road.
The new model is looking much different from the current one, so you can call it an all new motorcycle. Even the new bike doesn't shares any major design element with any model in the company's current line-up, except some minor things like handlebar, switch gear, rear view mirrors, indicators, foot peg mounts, wheels and console.
We can't say anything about the headlamp of the new Unicorn 160, as the view is not available in the pictures. However, the new fuel tank is muscular and has been extended with the sporty shrouds. Rear panels are sleeker and the tail is sharp, which provides an edgy appearance to it. As per the design, seat is looking comfortable and the new split type tail lamp is interesting.
The new Honda Unicorn will be powered by a 160cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, OHC engine, which is expected to retain the same smooth 5-speed gearbox from the current model. As the 150cc engine of the CB Trigger makes 14.35bhp of power, the new motor is expected to deliver 15bhp.
The suspension and braking system of the bike will also remain similar to the current 150cc models. It will get the same telescopic front and mono-shock rear suspensions along with 240mm front disc and 130mm rear dum brakes. The bike will directly compete with the upcoming Hero Xtreme Sport along with the newly launched Bajaj Discover 150 F, Yamaha FZ series and Suzuki Gixxer. It will also challenge the other offerings in the segment including Bajaj Pulsar 150 and TVS Apche RTR 160.
