Attention two-wheeler enthusiasts with big pockets. The 2018 Roadmaster Elite is expected to cost around Rs 50 lakh!
Indian Motorcycles is gearing up to launch one of the most expensive motorcycles in India, the Roadmaster Elite, on May 2, 2018. The bike’s expected to cost more than Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and it will be available in a sole blue-black dual-tone colour scheme with 23-karat gold insignias on either side of the fuel tank.
In addition to this, the cruiser gets full LED lighting, similar to the standard Roadmaster, and chrome detailing on the front and rear fenders that add to its aesthetics. However, the most noteworthy aspect of the bike is its paint job. According to the bike maker, it takes about 30 hours to achieve this high-quality finish.
Falling under the touring range, the Elite gets a range of features like an adjustable windscreen, floorboards, cruise control and heated seats and grips. It also gets a waterproof saddlebag and a waterproof compartment with over 140 litres of storage space. Other bits include a 300W audio system with Bluetooth and USB connectivity to play your favourite tracks while on the go.
Powering the luxury tourer is a 1811cc V-twin Thunder Stroke 111 engine that produces a peak torque of 161.6Nm at 3000rpm. This brute of an engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The Roadmaster Elite gets telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock unit at the rear while braking is via 300mm dual front discs and a single 300mm rear disc.
When launched, the Roadmaster Elite will lock horns with the Harley-Davidson CVO Limited, which retails at Rs 49.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
