Triumph will launch the MY2020 Street Triple RS tomorrow. The updated super naked was to be launched in March but was delayed by close to a month owing to the lockdown caused by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. In the interest of social distancing, Triumph will launch the updated Street Triple RS online.
The most apparent update to the new Street Triple RS is the revised headlamp styling. The twin headlamp setup remains but is sharper and gets an LED brow on top. The flyscreen and bodywork is sharper and the rear seat cowl comes standard with the motorcycle. Feature updates include four new themes on the TFT colour instrument console and a Bluetooth connectivity option that allows for GoPro controls.

Its 765cc inline-triple motor sees revisions across the board and has been tuned for better mid-range grunt. It now makes 79Nm of torque (up by 2Nm) at a lower 9,350rpm (down from 10,800rpm) and delivers 9 percent more mid-range torque. It also gets updated electronics that allows for more leeway in the hardcore Sport and Track modes, making it more novice-friendly.

The new Street Triple RS continues to use top spec underpinnings in the form of fully-adjustable Showa upside-down forks and fully-adjustable Ohlins monoshock, dual 310mm discs with Brembo M50 calipers and a 220mm rear disc, and redesigned Pirelli Supercorsa SP v3 radial tyres.
The upcoming motorcycle is expected to be priced at around Rs 12 lakh. It would be the only Euro 5 / BS6 compliant super naked motorcycle to be on sale in India and will compete with the upcoming KTM 790 Duke BS6.
