Select KTM dealerships in India have commenced unofficial bookings for the 2021 KTM RC 390, with the amount ranging from as low as Rs 1,000 to Rs 10,000 depending on the dealership. The latest iteration was recently spotted and you can read all about it here.
Now with advance bookings — albeit unofficial — kicking off, it would be safe to assume that KTM will likely launch the 2021 RC 390 in a month or two at an expected price tag of Rs 2.75 lakh. This makes it around Rs 15,000 dearer than the current-gen KTM RC 390.

Since its debut date back in 2013, KTM hasn’t employed any substantial updates on the RC390. However, the latest iteration has undergone radical changes. We recommend you head here and read about them in detail.
Once launched, the new RC 390 will rival the home-bred TVS Apache RR 310 priced at Rs 2.49 lakh. While the TVS is less powerful than the KTM, it compensates by offering features like four riding modes, a full TFT-colour screen with post-ride analytics, turn-by-turn navigation, and even access to incoming phone calls. However, If you are looking for a twin-cylinder alternative in the segment, your only choice is the Kawasaki Ninja 300. But at Rs 3.18 lakh, it is a lot more expensive than the KTM and stays relatively unchanged from its BS4 predecessor. You could also wait for the upcoming Benelli 302R, though you’ll have to wait a while. Check out what this motorcycle packs here.
Apart from the updated RC 390, KTM has more in store for the next year as well. The all-new 490 series is on the cards for the Austrian two-wheeler giant’s 2022 portfolio. Read the full story here.
